    Description: The god Amun-Ra is shown seated on a throne inside a naos in this small statue. He wears a double plumed crown and a beard. In his left hand, Amun-Ra holds an ankh sign, the symbol for “life.” The exterior of the naos is decorated with lightly inscribed scenes of Amenhotep III offering to and worshipping the god. Amenhotep III wears the “blue crown,” the shendyt kilt and a bull’s tail, all signs of kingship. The inscriptions running in vertical lines below this scene were added later by Ramesses II.
